PHP 5.3+, C# opportunities available
A junior programmer is needed to extend the creative development arm of the NovaTek software range. You will be working on both internal software and client systems.The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate. Flexible hours, ideally 20 hrs/wk. Working from our Noosa office.
Require
- A solid understanding of web languages: HTML, CSS, etc
- A strong knowledge of PHP 5.3 concepts, including namespaces and OO programming
- A strong knowledge of Javascript, including prototyping and Javascript OO concepts
- An understanding of web communications: AJAX, XML, SOAP, JSON, etc
- Experience with MySQL and knowledge of database building and optimisation (ie. normalisation)
Ideal
- Preliminary knowledge of object-orientated programming concepts, with experience with any of the following:
- C++
- C#
- Java
- Familiar with the .NET framework
- Understanding of the HTTP protocol and low-level web communication
- Development on Linux systems

Web Developer
Web developers with a strong understanding of building HTML/CSS templates, cutting up PSDs and SEO-friendly design are needed. Most development will be on client websites using our own in-house CMS. Ongoing contracting work available.Require
- Experience in web development, HTML/CSS, etc
- Experience with e-commerce systems
- Understanding of the concept behind a web CMS
- Knowledge of basic SEO concepts
- Be able to manipulate and optimise image media with Photoshop
- Proper understanding of FTP, etc
