Programmer

PHP 5 (Standalone & Online) - Web - C++ opportunities available

A junior programmer is needed to extend the creative development arm of the NovaTek software range. You will be working on both internal software and client systems.

The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate. Flexible hours, ideally 30 hrs/wk. Working from our Noosa office.

Require

• A solid understanding of web languages: HTML, CSS, etc
• Preliminary knowledge of programming concepts, experience with one of the following:
  
  • C/C++
  • PHP
  • Java
  and experience with at least one compiled language
• Experience with dynamic web development
• Experience with SQL (MySQL pref.) and knowledge of database building and optimisation

Ideal

• An understand of advanced web systems, AJAX, XML, SOAP, JSON, etc
• Experience/understanding of object orientated programming concepts
• Understanding of the HTTP protocol and web communication
• Development on Linux systems

Web Developer

Web developers with a strong understanding of building HTML/CSS templates, cutting up PSDs and SEO-friendly design are needed. Most development will be on client websites using our own in-house CMS. Ongoing contracting work available.

Require

• Experience in web development, HTML/CSS, etc
• Experience with e-commerce systems
• Understanding of the concept behind a web CMS
• Knowledge of basic SEO concepts
• Be able to manipulate and optimise image media with Photoshop
• Proper understanding of FTP, etc

Ideal

• Experience with PHP
• Experience with database engineering
• Experience in the SEO industry
