Let's get the basics out of the way. Your NovaTek username and password is the same as your VG forums password (unless you already had a NovaTek account). If you have any trouble, just make a new account or grab me on Xfire.

That time has finally come, VG clan is officially no more. I am dissolving VG clan and redirecting all traffic from VG to NovaTek. All VG members are now NovaTek members, and will be treated just as you would a VG member. If you were, umm, "mistreated" as a VG member, then, umm, well tough, you're still going to be.

I've decided against moving the forums over. I figure this is a good chance to start anew. A lot has changed for the most of us over the last few years, many of you have left school, many now working full-time. In no way am I ending the community, however I'm also not just "renaming" the clan again either. You're all kicked from VG, you're now clanless. You are part of the NovaTek community now, and I have formed a new clan within NovaTek, however you are free NOT to join it, and you're also free to form your own clans here. Perhaps the tyranny of Prime is finally over? heh, yeah, here's to dreaming.

In Your Hands

As a member of NovaTek you're entitled to write and edit content pages on NovaTek, need that be a movie review, game information, etc, etc - it's all yours now. Think of it like a Wikipedia for game, tech & movie news. In time features on NovaTek will be enhanced, I still haven't enabled an editor for you to add blogs, etc. That'll come soon. To get cracking with you're own authoring - head on over to the headquarters.

As much as I like to make everything about me, the idea here is to make this about the people, and you can't make something about the people when it's named after you. So as of the writing of this letter, I am renaming myself to just 'Prime', the latter and less used half of my alias. From now on, the term 'Nova' is half the name of our new community.

NovaTek members are classed into 4 ranks, check them out in the Member Ranks detail. You all have Alpha clearance at the moment, only because I'm too lazy to promote you. Yell out in the forums if/when you want promotions, I'm expecting to promote most of you to ~ Gamma clearance.

This marks the third reform of what was the high-school founded clan, the 'Fleet'. The Fleet became Ethereal in 2005, which later merged with AMD to become the Vanguard. So for those who were with us when the Fleet formed back in Hervey Bay, to those who joined us from AMD and all those who joined us along the way, I'd like to say thanks for journey, tagging along and having fun. I much appreciate your loyalty, even if it was enforced with an iron fist.

Join the Fellowship

Hey let's not be too grim here, it ain't over. Behold the Fellowship - for all those loyal to Prime, and all those who know what's good for them, here is your place of harbour. Join the continuation of the community by joining the Fellowship in the headquarters. As always - there's no obligations, no skill requirements, etc, etc. It's all for fun.

Don't feel obliged either, I'm looking forward to seeing some heretics forming their own clans.
